The Cougar Crazies are a group of seniors who come together, go to every event to support their Cougars, and come up with each theme for the student section to dress up as to show their school spirit.

According to the student senate Vice President Maggie Troy, to be included in the group, students have to have lots of school pride and should show up to sporting events other than just the football games.

The Cougar Crazies also host tailgates by the practice football field before home games to get pumped up. These tailgates include games, food, and music.

To discuss ideas and themes the cougar crazies have a group chat on Snapchat to do all of the discussing.

“Not only do we like to say that the seniors are a part of the Cougar Crazies, but that the whole student section is apart of it,” stated senior Maggie Troy.

Troy was lucky enough to be a part of the Cougar Crazies for two years. Troy is the head of the Cougar Crazies and she controls the Twitter account and decides who the Cougar Crazies leader is next year.  Cougar Crazies usually only use their group chat to communicate about anything that may happen or if they need to discuss something because they don’t have after school meetings. During the games, the Cougar Crazies are front and center cheering on the Cougars and leading the student section.

Being a part of the Cougar Crazies can bring students closer with their classmates, while allowing them to attend all New Prairie sporting events. Be sure to be a part the Cougar Crazies for fun, being able to host the tailgates, and bonding with other students.
