With their high school career coming to an end, seniors have some advice for underclassmen.

When asked advice for homework, many responses were similar. Ashlee Burroughs stated, “Simply, just try to do your homework the best to your ability. Even if you may not understand it, applying effort into your homework is much more commendable than not putting forth any effort at all. It demonstrates to teachers you are motivated and tried as best as you could to your potential on the homework assignment.”

Nick Ryan suggested, “Do it on time and you’ll pass every class you have.”

Next, seniors gave their advice about applying for college. Chloé Stantz said, “Get your application in early, don’t wait until the last second to write your essays.” Some remind that college isn’t for everyone, so don’t be pressured to go.

Since seniors are so experienced on taking finals, they had some great advice. Michelle Kazmierzak said, “Keep all your class notes from throughout the year and look back on them to help study for the final.” Overall, most just said to study and it will be fine.

The social parts of high school are a huge aspect. Caroline Foster gave some great advice, saying “Don’t let the little things bother you. Not everyone is going to like or get along with you. That’s ok.... it’s life. Just be happy with what you have and who you are. Always be respectful and polite, but don’t expect everyone love you.” Most just say stick around to the friends that are valuable to you.

Overall, 2019 seniors encourage you to try your best. They also suggest participating in as many extracurriculars as possible, because that is where the memories are made.
