Hunger Drive Recap

The 2019 Hunger Drive has come to an end. Schools across northwest Indiana participated in the Hunger Drive, which helps donate food to food pantries.

Natalie Spevak, advisor of the Key Club, says different districts competed to get the most amount of food. The district winner was District 5, Power, with 3,019.8 pounds donated. Mrs. Wilkeson’s classes alone collected a whopping total of 1,780 pounds.

At New Prairie, 14,009 total pounds were raised. New Prairie received second in total pounds of food per student, coming behind Mishawaka Marian High School.

Northwood High School took first in total pounds raised. The total number of pounds between all schools were 100,735 pounds.
