NPHS spreads Christmas cheer

Choir practicing for their concert.

On December 8th and 9th, the New Prairie High School choirs will be putting on a concert for two nights only.

Some of the song selections from Sing Sensation are “Oh Santa,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Mary Did You Know,” “The Christmas Song,” and “Deck The Rooftop.” There are many more songs that will be sung by the choirs such as Innovation, BWC, and Sapphire.

“We are going to perform a marvelous Christmas concert, but we are also going to show everyone how confident and hardworking our show choirs are,” said sophomore Mia Britton. “We work very hard in class and outside of school and it warms my heart to see the choirs pour that out on the stage and leave everyone everyone in well deserved awe and mesmerization,” said Britton.

Each of the choirs pour countless amounts of effort into each of their songs and shows.

“... the best part about the whole concert is being able to witness the passion that goes into choir,” stated Britton.

The expectations, according to Britton, is to set the tone for their upcoming competition season.

The choir will be performing December 8th and 9th. Students will have to pay $5, and there will also be a cookie walk for $5 a pound as well.
