Riverdale Star Passes Away.

Updated: May 2, 2019

Luke Perry passed away on March 4, 2019, after suffering a stroke. Perry was in over 30 movies and in at least 5 TV shows. He was a star on the commonly known TV show “Riverdale.” He played the character Fred Andrews. Perry also played Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210.

He was one of the most popular characters on the show. This will affect the audience greatly, and as a fan of the show, Abby Rowe stated “I think it will be different because Perry played a major role in all the characters lives insides and outside of the show.”

Perry will be remembered for all the movies and shows he was in. Because Riverdale is a very popular series his passing is even more upsetting.

Because of Perry’s passing, the production crew of the show will have to come up with a way to kill off his character.

There are many possibilities in the series to kill off a character, but Rowe thinks it will happen a specific way.

“I think Veronica’s father is going to have Fred killed to win the election of being mayor because Veronica’s father is a hit-man. If Veronica’s father wants mayor, then he will probably have someone kill Fred,” said Rowe.

Another fan of the series, Anna Clemons claimed, “The writers probably have the rest of the episodes prescreened already, so he’ll probably be in the rest of the episodes for this season. I’m not sure how they’ll kill him off, but they might just give him a stroke like what actually happened.”

The producer of Riverdale, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, said to the audience of the show at https://www.seventeen.com/celebrity/movies-tv/a26629563/riverdale-luke-perry-death/. “Those involved with the show are still processing the loss, and they're not rushing forward with any plans. We know that we have to address it in some way. We’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him."

The creators are working to go on with the show, without rushing into anything. They want the whole cast on board and to honor Perry appropriately and respectfully according to https://www.seventeen.com/celebrity/movies-tv/a26629563/riverdale-luke-perry-death/.
