Some of the most popular videos on YouTube are Shane Dawson’s conspiracy theory videos. Shane Lee Yaw, known as Shane Dawson, has been making videos on YouTube since 2008. He writes, acts, produces, and authorizes his books.
Dawson lives in Los Angeles, California with his boyfriend Ryland, two dogs Uno and Honey, and cat Cheeto. For the past three years, he’s been blowing up on the internet with his conspiracy theory videos.
It’s not just his conspiracy videos that got him this recognition. He expressed himself through variety of videos that consist of muk-bang, traveling around and connecting with old and new friends, and anything he could think of that sounded fun or inspirational. He uses his humor and weight loss journey to create a new, better life with his boyfriend and pets. His YouTube career started when him and his friend made a video for class and then he started making videos on his own time.
Dawson’s conspiracy videos have gone from being published once every other week to having their own YouTube channel.
The two most recent conspiracy videos that Dawson has made are arguably the most popular, centering around Walt Disney, the IPhone FaceTime theory, the California wildfires, “Toys R Us” store closing last year, and the Hollister tricks. He expresses his opinions thoughts on each theory in the videos.
Dawson is known for many other things then just his conspiracy videos. Dawson struggled with his weight when he was younger and it got worse in high school.
He wrote a book, “I Hate Myselfie,” that was written in a comedic way, but expressed everything he was feeling. A year later he wrote another book called, “It Gets Worse,” which is a collection of essays. Dawson made two short films for the two books he’s written.
He made music videos in high school with his friends. After he graduated, he continued to make videos with his old friends and new YouTube friends.
Back in the early 2000’s he was really known for his “odd” taste in film making and sense of humor and his name grew public and went viral.
Shane Dawson has been out of touch with his dad, but he started making videos where he goes and finds people that he’s lost touch with. He created strong bonds with people like Jeffree Star, James Charles, his dad, and many more people.
