New Prairie High School boys Football team is not only a team but a family. This year these seniors have created an impacting family for each other to lean on. As the year has trudged on the boys have faced some hardships but overcome them together through the "love and dedication" they have for the sport and the team.
"Over the past four years we have become a family, building each other up and watching each other grow." said Nick Wilson.
Throughout the year, they've been seen on the fields practicing and bonding and playing the field for the family's, students, and themselves.
The boys are a soul family, a soul family are those that gather around you in your life, not connected by blood or race, but by energy and essence. They bring unconditional love and support at the perfect times and understand and share the same mission and purpose.
Quarterback Nick Wilson wanted to make a statement, "We started off as a group of kids who barely won in middle school and then got to high school, made it to state freshman year and then learned from those seniors what a brotherhood was like, we genuinely cared about each other always had each others back and when it came down to it we loved each guy like our own brother and that's what's made this year so special. Drops mic, I'm out"
Although their last year of football is over they're not done exceeding expectations!
Sam Schlimpert says, "Jäght," a slogan used by the boys and created by Senior Austin Weiland.
