Blossom into spring break

Writer: Jena MayfieldJena Mayfield

Spring break is just around the corner and a lot of people travel and go out of town during this blooming new season. Here are some suggestions for what to do in Indiana on spring break.

Math teacher, Jennifer Soos, thinks traveling is most fun with family activities as an alternative.

“The most fun thing is to be able to travel to far away places. However, if traveling is not an option, then little activities with my family are great: bowling, Skyzone, and going to the movies,” said Soos.

Soos likes the little home activities as well, “If at home, I enjoy crafting and art with my kids.

Or, we like to spend time outside hanging with the neighbors,” said Soos.

Soos’ family tries to keep their Chicago trip tradition on break.

“We try to spend a night in Chicago every Spring Break. We visited the aquarium and the museum. If it's warm enough, we walk around and shop a little too! We always have to make sure to eat at the Cheesecake Factory,” said Soos.

For others, she suggests outdoor activities.

“If the weather is nice, get outside. Go to a park. Paint workshops or poetry workshops are great to try!” said Soos.

Sophomore, Eliza Roberts, likes to spend some money or relax over spring break. “My favorite thing to do away during spring break is shopping but when staying home I enjoy taking naps in my free time,” said Roberts.

She also likes to “just hang out with friends and chill at home.”

For others, she said follow in her footsteps, “Once again, I highly recommend taking naps to anyone who is staying home and has no options for anything else,” said Roberts
