New Prairies robotics are on the move as they approach the end of the year. There’s always work to do somewhere.

Frank Hobart stated,”We have competition so we’re always working it’s just to what extent.”

Competition brought robotics all the way to state, where they competed against a number of other schools.

Hobart said,”What’s build season like? It’s crazy busy I’d say. I’m satisfied more often than not.”

Students are working hands on with technology in attempts to complete simple tasks. The theme for this years competition was pirates in deep space.”

The 2018-2019 robotics season had been a success.

Hobart stated,”We have high expectations we set up and we build exactly what we designed.”

The team is setting a goal to finish out the season on a positive note and getting things done and getting in community service hours. When working on a project, the team sat and discussed all perspectives of the contraption of what will and will not work.

Hobart said,”We are in the process of planning for the next 365 days. You really have to break things down or you keep making the same mistakes.”

The robotics team has been improving and driving towards success.

Hobart added,”Last year was an off year for us.We have not qualified for state for the first time since Indiana offered districts.”

Robotics was off their game but are quickly catching up and getting back to where they needed to be. Next year is looking up for robotics and opportunity is on the way.
